IFAT 2016

Thanks to cast iron pipe systems – consisting of pipes, ­fittings and valves – drinking water and wastewater have been simply, safely and economically transported for centuries. In this process, security, serviceability, quality, hygiene and ­environmental sustainability are the fundamental properties which are guaranteed by products from EADIPS FGR members, making the reliable operation of networks possible for their operators.

IFAT 2016 demonstrated once again that even good products need constant further development. Altered requirements for the hygiene of drinking water networks, the digitisation of the water industry and Water 4.0 are a selection of terms which are associated with the products and services presented at IFAT 2016. Against this background I would like to use this issue to introduce you to some exemplary products and ­services from the producers of ductile iron pipe systems.
